24-a-thon

I got some of my friends addicted to 24!! Ch-Ching!

It was great last night we started watching the first season and got through 7 hours of the mayhem.

For those of you that remember Rick from the frist season those of you that don't he helped kidnap Kim and Janet with Dan (freakazoid) and gave Kim to Gaines. AHHH! But anywhoo my friend kept asking me what would happen to Rick a.k.a. Plaid Guy lol.

Watching the first season again was like whoa time warp. Man did CTU look really orange. I loved the interactions between Nina and Jack; Tony, Nina and Jack and the trifecta known as Jamie, Nina and Jack.

We're going to try and watch all four seasons then when season five comes out that too :).

I can't wait for season 6 but watching previous seasons eases the pain of the hiatus.

New Series Regular for S6

"Numb3rs" and "Ally McBeal" star Peter MacNicol will be joining 24 for the 6th season. The actor will portray a high-ranking government official in the real-time drama, which kicks off its sixth year at midseason.

Hiatus Pitfalls

The only sucky thing about the hiatus is that we have to wait 6 agonizing months for our precious 24 to grace our boob toobs again but there is another sucky aspect don't know what to do with the blog now that season 5 has ended.

Any ideas would be great!

Mandy, The Epitamy of Badass

dictionary.com defines badass as "A mean-tempered or belligerent person."

now I don't know if I would call her mean-tempered or belligerent just more of killing people when it works to her advantage and exploiting people's weaknesses for her agenda all the while sleeping with guys and killing them so she can escape into the cloak of darkness and looking smoking hot by the way now that's badass.

Now many 24 fans think Mandy has been grossly underused and I would be one of them I mean who wouldn't want that to grace your glow box every monday?

There's just something about her that even our precious Nina couldn't match now that would be fun who could kick who's butt Mandy or Nina?

Let's have some debate.

Jack Bauer's Set for New York

If Jack Bauer can make it there, he can make it anywhere.
Bauer takes in a Broadway show.

Bauer takes in a Broadway show.

Producers for the hit Fox series 24 confirm they have been in talks with New York city officials about filming "some" of season six there. While no plot details have been revealed, executive producer Joel Surnow tells TV Guide's Michael Ausiello that plans are in the works for Bauer to visit the city that, like Bauer, never sleeps.

"We are in conversations about shooting some stuff in New York for [next] season," Surnow said.

If the show ends up moving to New York, it would mark the first time that Kiefer Sutherland's explosive federal agent would save a city other than Los Angeles (which needs saving, to be sure). In the previous five seasons, Bauer and CTU--the Counter Terrorist Unit--have had 24 hours to knock out nukes, vaporize viri, and bust baddies in and around the Los Angeles basin region.

It's unclear how the real-time concept of the show could handle a bicoastal adventure, or if the entire season would be filmed in New York. At the end of season five, Jack was literally "Shanghai'd" aboard a cargo ship by vindictive Chinese government agents, but show-runners already said there is no way they could work a Chinese kidnapping plotline into next season's 24-hour deadline.

In April, Sutherland and the show execs signed up for three more seasons of the series, and plans are underway for a 24 film. Fox has ordered a script, and if ratings for season six remain high, the movie is scheduled to be filmed between seasons six and seven.

Surnow also told Ausiello that fans can expect a return visit from the disgraced President Logan, played by Gregory Itzin, and his feisty wife, Martha, played by Jean Smart.

"We love them," he says. "We certainly want to try to bring them both back...they were just such fabulous characters for us."

The fifth season of 24 saw ratings increase 14 percent and featured Jack Bauer wearing a man-purse. If you missed out on it, reruns begin tonight on Fox, at 8 p.m.

Scour our Intel

Ok guys for those of us that saw the Season 5 finale let's try and figure what the writers have planned next for our fabled hero Jack Bauer.

It's hard to know for sure what the writers are cookin' up in those noggins of theirs but let's take a crack at it anyway.

I've heard rumors that season 6 might start off directly where left off so could it be a direct day to day season and start off right at 7:00 A.M. with Jack on the ship that would be interesting.

Guys start brainstorming.
